The Corps

The Corps is one of the top security and business support companies in the UK. We are an SIA Approved Contractor and a founding member of the British Security Industry Association. We provide corporate security to a range of businesses both large and small. We employ over 3,000 licensed security staff and have 13 offices located throughout the UK. The full name of the company is The Corps of Commissionaires Management Ltd. Founded in 1859, we are proud of our heritage, but we have come a long way since then. Originally established to provide gainful employment for ex-servicemen returning from the Crimean War, The Corps has progressed to being one of today's foremost security providers.

We provide Security Officers, Reception Security, Mail Room and other Facilities Services Staff to a wide cross-section of customers across many industry sectors. We can also provide Mobile Patrol and Keyholding services.

The Corps Monitoring Centre provided a full rage of CCTV Monitoring services from its new purpose built facility and we have established ourselves as a professional and credible provider in this specialist arena. For existing and new customers and incorporating the latest technology, we design integrated manpower/systems solutions which are both effective and affordable.

We are particularly well known within the Events industry where our Commissionaires work on a wide variety of temporary and/or ad-hoc assignments, including exhibitions, sporting events and society occasions. We can be seen not only in our traditional and very recognisable military style uniform, but increasingly in a smart tailored business suit, reflecting and promoting the corporate image of our clients.
