

The Westminster Collection (TWC) celebrated it's 5th Anniversary
Summer Reception at one of it most prestigious member venues, Lancaster
House, last week on Monday, 9th June.
René Dee, Chairman and
founder member of TWC, welcomed over 100 representatives of its 20 full
members and 6 Associates together with selected guests at a superb
summer reception in the State Dining Room and gardens of Lancaster
House, a stone's throw away from Buckingham Palace.
The Lure of the East: British Orientalist Painting is now showing at Tate Britain from 4 June – 31 August 2008
The
exhibition will explore the responses of British artists to the
cultures and landscapes of the Near and Middle East between 1780 and
1930, offering vital historical and cultural perspectives on the
challenging questions of the ‘Orient’ and its representation in British
art.
