New shows come to the Halls

21/04/2008

2008 is already set to be a promising year for the Royal Horticultural Halls and Conference Centre (RHH) with a marked increase in new business. In February, Emap brought The Construction Careers Event 2008 to the Lindley Hall - just one of many new exhibitions appearing at the Halls this year. The Royal Society of Chemistry will also be holding a new exhibition at the Lindley Hall in July, where over 20 universities will welcome 16 to 18 year olds who are interested in a career in chemistry.

With successful exhibitions such as HEVAR (Faversham House), National Children's Centre and Extended School Show (Haymarket), ABTT and Steps returning to the Halls in 2008, it comes as no surprise that the Halls are so sought after by new exhibitors. Bernard Cotterell, Operations Director at Haymarket Exhibitions says: "The team at the RHH always has a ‘can do' attitude. I work at many different venues and I have a lot to compare it against - put simply the RHH team has the edge on customer care and service".

February also saw the RHH open its doors to over 400 beauty industry insiders, for the Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) UK Beauty Awards Demonstration evening organised by CEW (UK) and Blue Dog Productions. This is the first time the exhibition has been held at the Halls; as the event has gained momentum, with an increased number of product entries, a more accommodating venue was needed to showcase all the products.

Caroline Neville, President of CEW (UK) says: "Our Board was delighted with the new location. The space was perfect, and the other facilities - good cloakrooms, storage space and rooms to change in - were all added benefits.  Working with the team at the Halls was very straightforward.  We will definitely be holding more events at the Halls in the future."

Director of Sales and Marketing for the RHH, Maugie Lyons is pleased that the Halls have been consistently producing successful events for the exhibitions sector, saying: "The Halls hold unequivocal appeal for small and medium sized exhibitions. Over the years we have hosted a vast number of national and international exhibitions, and launching niche shows has become our speciality."
