The Westminster Collection Announces 2009 Showcase Date

The Westminster Collection, comprising a broad range of prestigious venues, hotels and
hospitality facilities in Westminster
has fixed the date of their next annual '
TWC SHOWCASE'. This will be held
4.00pm-7.30pm at Central Hall Westminster on Thursday, 5th February 2009.
The
'TWC SHOWCASE' has
become
an annual fixture for event planners and buyers looking for suitable
venues and facilities in Westminster at the start of the calendar
year.
Now in in its
3rd year, having been held at The Lindley Hall to begin with and, last
year in Savoy Place, the Showcase moves to Central Hall Westminster in
the very heart of Westminster for 2009.
A unique
partnership exists between TWC and Westminster Kingsway College. The
College is an Associate Members of TWC and its hospitality and catering
students have always gained some vocational experience by being
involved in prior Showcase events.
However, for
the 2009 event, 12 of the College's final year National Diploma
students are being tasked to fully organise and run the Showcase with
TWC guidance and direction, as an integral part of their final year
course work.
This perfectly
embodies the corporate social responsibility stance that TWC Members
feel strongly about and is a very good example of how this can be put
into practice to help students seeking vocational experience before
they seek employment in the hospitality and events marketplace.
One of the
students first task will be to come up with a theme for the Showcase
that matches TWC's objective to attract as many buyers to visit this
important event.
