The RSM acquired the site on the corner of Wimpole Street and Henrietta Place in 1910. King George V and Queen Mary opened the final and current home of the Royal Society of Medicine at No.1 Wimpole Street in May 1912.

Based in the home of the Royal Society of Medicine, our two main lecture theatres (300 and 150 seat) are truly unique and finished to stunning effect with luxurious padded leather seating, and handheld audience response units in every chair. This allows you unparalleled two way communication with your delegates, to help make the most of your meetings.

Our breathtaking glass-encased Max Rayne Atrium forms a stunning centrepiece, bathing the surrounding spaces with natural light during the day, and providing the perfect backdrop for an evening dinner or drinks reception. All of our smaller meeting rooms benefit from natural light and are equipped with dedicated plasma screens. Effortlessly combining the old and the new, a full Wi-Fi network and modern AV dept co-exist within a building steeped in history.

We are also dedicated to providing sustainable and responsible events, and are proud of our Corporate Social Responsibility policy, and believe our business doesn’t need to be a wasteful one. Our menus are responsibly sourced, focusing on seasonal produce and the changing tastes of the modern palate.
